Benefits from fasting!

A transient rest to the body systems is the expected benefit out of fasting. Even if it is repeated, this benefit will have only a transient impact on the body systems. Suppose, we recognize and learn that there are more benefits out of fasting such as being or feeling well etc., after finishing it. Then, this learning itself is also the best benefit we get out of the fasting! With it, then we should restrict our intake of food items in too much numbers or quantities on other regular days too. Then this will have a great impact on our body systems, that will prevent their deterioration in their functioning due to such excessive loading.

Best is the rest! But not the worst work! Avoid Diabetes!

If one sits down on a chair and takes rest for a while, it is OK. But if he goes on working only with his brain and eyes for hours together sitting on a chair, this resting on that chair becomes the worst work of any work. Let it be the work on a computer or reading a book. Here, other parts of the body are awake but not working. The person's digestive system produces glucose from the food he has taken in. The blood carrying this glucose is now in a dilemma in this situation. His muscles are not working; they don't require glucose. All the muscular parts of the body are awake and ready to work; glucose is also ready to get used up for that; due to this, it cannot be converted by the body into either protein or fat also. So, the excess glucose, that remains after being used for vital basic functions of the body, accumulates in the blood as time goes on with the continuing process of digestion. This chronic accumulation of excess glucose that is ready but without any utilisation results in the retention of glucose in the blood, the glucose being blind-folded and losing its capacity to find its usual exit into the body tissues. Then, a part of this glucose gets out of the blood to the exterior as such in the urine; the rest and the most of it remains in the blood unused. This state of (dis-eased) body is Diabetes mellitus! So, a man must be either bodily active fully, or take rest completely in between, in doing such sedentary works - that resting too taken in between equal shorter periods of doing that work. This will release glucose from blood either to the muscles for continuing their activity or to the fatty tissue for fat formation, thus preventing Diabetes mellitus in you! This is important in people who take in more carbohydrate-rich diets. Moreover, the students in their schools must not be confined to their desks for both the day and nighttime studies in the name of tuition to get more marks in their exams. Their nature is to be active always. If their activities are restricted now, they may develop later Diabetes mellitus in their adulthood! Make our future generations Diabetes-free!

Take rest to recover and redo!

We are living matters having all the mechanisms to recover from any injury or tiredness. This is done by our body only to restore us to healthy state, and to resume to do our regular activities. But we ignore these mechanisms compelling ourselves to do more work - even after getting tired or injured! What a craziness and addiction we have! Added to this, we, the living matters, depend also on non-living things such as alarm clocks - to wake up our tired body from sleeping! Thus we also do not respect and allow the biological clock of our body, that rings and wakes us up after our body's taking adequate rest.. Are these sensible habits? Think on it and desist from indulging in them.

We fuel, clean and maintain our vehicles in good condition. But we forget about maintaining our body, the vehicle to carry out all our wishes, whether to do an act or to think and feel! Work for enjoying with healthy body and mind!

Some people have only entertainment everyday and take rest after that. Yet some other people work all the day and after that they get entertainment before going to take rest. Among these two type of activities the first one may be good for the mind, but the next one is good for both the mind and body!

Think twice but not always!

In doing daily activities our body works a lot, and then takes rest during sleep. We use our mind to think and then act. Usually we think only for a few seconds at a time, but act for a longer time putting our body to work more than the mind. But we should not put our body to work sparingly, and go on thinking for a long time: it is against our human nature. Even if you do so at any time, you must let your mind to stop its thinking, relax and take rest - by sleeping. Otherwise the mind itself may stop its working! So, do not load unnecessarily your mind. Divert yourself in other activities and take rest or sleep to relax both the mind and body to make them to be healthy at all times.
